Blossom of Hope: Raising Funds for Biopsy Needles and Increasing Breast Cancer Awareness
Blossom of Hope is an annual charity event organized to raise funds for biopsy needles for Lithuanian women. The goal of the event is to encourage earlier cancer diagnosis by providing free biopsy needles necessary for testing. According to medical statistics over several years Lithuania has had comparatively high percentage of breast cancer diagnosed at advanced stages of II and III. Treatment of breast cancer at later stages poses a bigger challenge and lowers survival rate.
The charity event is an initiative of IWAV and has been continuously supported by our partner Roche Lietuva and many other sponsors.

Blossom of Hope 2011
Of the three years that Blossom of Hope has been organized, we raised more money and purchased more biopsy needles in 2011 than ever before. Thanks to the contribution from the sponsors, donations from artists and to the generous spirit of all the attending guests, the event raised over 55 000 LTL, these funds will cover the cost of more than 1300 biopsy needles.
