Roundup ICCB 2010

The annual International Christmas Charity Bazaar (ICCB) 2010 held on 4 December 2010 brought together representatives from 30 embassies, Mrs. Adamkiene Foundation, Medical Diagnostic centre and others in an effort to gather money for the selected charities.
Each embassy had a stand selling specialties and souvenirs from their home country. In addition, the Norwegian embassy had a separate stand to sell smoked fish, the Irish stand sold their well-known Irish coffees, the German stand offered their waffles and famous gluhwein and of course there was IWAV's own bake sale stand with home-made cakes from the ladies of the International Community. In keeping with the yearly tradition ICCB 2010 had a book stand selling second-hand books, CD's etc, the Art stand - Four Winds - selling paintings and the 'Good as New' stand selling 'gently used or un-wanted gifts'. And let’s not forget the jolly Santa, Quattro Canti chorus singing carols and a performance for the little attendees by the well known clown Mr.Arcade!
In an attempt to gather more money for the charity projects, in 2010 IWAV produced a CD of International Family Favorite Recipes. This CD contains 140 recipes from around the world and is illustrated with children's drawings from several International schools of Vilnius. It was available for purchase at the Bazaar and can still be bought via IWAV board.
About 60 sponsors supported ICCB 2010 providing help with organization, promotion and lottery prizes (see the list below).
ICCB was attended by such prominent people as former President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus and his wife Alma Adamkienė, mayor of Vilnius Vilius Navickas with wife Jolanta Navickas. Gunilla Possenius who originally started the bazaar at the Town Hall came all the way from Sweden with her husband to take part in ICCB 2010.
ICCB 2010 was attended by more than 5000 people and raised 304,000 litas for the following beneficiaries:
Kaunas Medical University Clinic 120,000 LTL
