Blossom of Hope Gala Charity Concert for Breast Cancer

This is the 15th consecutive year that the International Women’s Association of Vilnius is supporting women and doctors on the scary journey of a breast cancer diagnosis - a lump, a suspicion, a mammogram, an MRI, surgery, chemotherapy, remission we all hope. One in ten women will face a diagnosis of breast cancer in her lifetime, and our Blossom of Hope campaign aims to help make that journey as smooth as possible by raising awareness about early diagnosis, by facilitating screening for women and by raising funds that go to purchase medical supplies, all of which improve chances of a positive outcome.

Please join us on March 24th for our Blossom of Hope gala charity concert at the National Gallery of Art, under the honorary patronage of First Lady Diana Nausėdienė. Our goodwill ambassador is National Cancer Institute (NVI) Head of Radiology Dr Jurgita Ušinskienė. The gala concert will feature a solo performance by tenor Antanas Zakarauskas accompanied by pianist Linas Dužinskas, an art installation by Mantas Petruškevičius and Arvydas Buinauskas, a charity auction with fabulous prizes, a cocktail dinner reception by Taurakalnis, and music by Leonas Somovas. All funds raised will to go purchasing medical equipment for oncology hospitals and to support our screening campaigns, including a new outreach campaign for Ukrainian women in Lithuania to get breast cancer screening.
