Blossom of Hope x Vilnius Marathon
For the second consecutive year, IWAV’s Blossom of Hope campaign to improve breast cancer care is partnering with the Vilnius Marathon to bring messages of prevention and health promotion to the community at large.

About the Event
The Vilnius Marathon (https://www.vilniausmaratonas.lt/en/) is the city’s largest sporting event with some 10 000 runners participating every year. There is a distance for everyone, from a 200-m children’s race to 5- and 10-km for the more casual runners to half- and full-marathon distances for the hard-core athletes. The race will take place on Sunday September 11th starting and ending at Cathedral Square, it a beautiful jaunt through picturesque Vilnius Old Town and beyond. Runners and non-runners alike are welcome to visit our IWAV Blossom of Hope tent, which will feature information about breast cancer, offer demonstrations of breast self-exams and give the opportunity to ladies to make appointments for mammography – doctors and radiologists from the National Cancer Institute will be present with us.
