The Women's Run on August 14th was an absolute success with 600 runners taking part, amongst whom 24 registered were IWAV members!
A powerful IWAV participation and support was felt as over 600€ were donated to the Blossom of Hope campaign.
Aušra Bružienė - president of the National Breast Disease Association and breast cancer survivor - joined forces with Blossom of Hope to deliver an informational speech during the opening of the Women's Run. The event then started with a fantastic warm-up for the children by former professional basketball player and current coach of the Lithuanian Olympic water polo team Aušra Bimbaitė. The children proceeded to run a fantastic 200m race, followed by the Women's 5km.
Blossom of Hope's partnership with the Women's Run attracted wide celebrity support on social media, including from singer Vaidas Baumila, TV show host Beata Nicholson, TV presenter and chef Gian Luca Demarco, entrepreneur Agnė Grigaliūnienė and entrepreneur Indrė Stonkuvienė. Several well-known women also came to express their support for the cause directly at the Blossom of Hope booth, including entrepreneur Eskedar Maštavičienė and journalist Daiva Žeimytė-Bilienė.
